DAF Dealership group, Adams Morey – with their head office in Southampton and a further 10 locations throughout the South of England – has announced their collaboration with TOTM, a planet-friendly brand specialising in sustainable, chemical free menstrual care products.
The agreement will see the business offer their employees free, sustainable menstrual care products. Adams Morey Head of People and Culture, Rachel Byers explained: “With a focus on sustainability and well-being, the initiative aligns with our core values, and supports TOTM’s mission of minimising period-related anxiety in professional environments.”
According to research conducted by TOTM, 80% of women and individuals with periods feel worried about managing menstruation while at work. Moreover, 76% find that their menstrual cycle disrupts their regular workday, and 64% are uncomfortable discussing the subject in the workplace.
Byers continued: “Through this collaboration with TOTM, we aim to remove one of the barriers to a more inclusive and supportive work environment. TOTM’s Period Positive Workplace Scheme also offers employees a discount towards the purchase of their products, meaning we can support our colleagues in the workplace and at home. Together we hope our initiative can break down period stigma, champion period dignity and will inspire similar commitments from other businesses within the sector.”
The scheme is to be introduced at Adams Morey South Head Office in Southampton and will be rolled out to the other eight sites before the end of the year.
